Hannah Hartman • Second Grade
My name is Hannah Hartman and I am thrilled to join the St. Paul's community as the second grade teacher. I am enthusiastic to enter my seventh year of teaching. Prior to coming to St. Paul's, I taught both kindergarten and second grade at a Catholic school in Berkeley. I attended UCLA for my undergraduate degree in History and earned my teaching credential at Sonoma State.
I believe the love of children and teaching emanates in my classroom and contributes to the growth and development of each child. I create a classroom environment that is engaging for students and fosters creativity and critical thinking. My students experience a rigorous curriculum that is guided by Common Core State Standards and lessons are planned with individual needs in mind.
I am passionate about EdTech and use technology regularly to enhance my teaching and student learning. My classroom extends to a global community with experiences like digital hangouts to talk to specialists in the field or collaborating on math and geography activities in real time with classes in other parts of the country.
When not at school, I enjoy walks with my dog Joey, spending time with my family and friends, learning to cook, traveling, hiking, and scuba diving.
