Katie Kiss • Kindergarten
Mrs. Katie Kiss has been at St. Paul’s Elementary School for 12 years, teaching fifth grade for four years and spending the past eight years as the Kindergarten teacher. She also serves as the special needs resource coordinator supporting all of St. Paul’s classroom teachers in their efforts to help students of all levels succeed.
Mrs. Kiss was raised in Danville, Calif., New Canaan, Conn., and San Francisco, and attended Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory. She graduated from the University of San Francisco, majoring in psychology with a minor in theology, and holds a master’s degree in education as well as a California state teaching credential. In addition, Mrs. Kiss has been formally trained in the Slingerland Multisensory Language Arts Approach, completing three years of study, and currently teaches in the San Francisco Slingerland Summer School.
Mrs. Kiss enjoys watching her students continue to grow and flourish after their time in Kindergarten, and has served as an assistant basketball and volleyball coach for 3rd-5th grade teams at St. Paul’s.
Mrs. Kiss and her husband were married at St. Paul’s and are active members of the parish. When she is not in the classroom teaching, Mrs. Kiss enjoys spending time with her family, including her two children.
