Cynthia Mallet • Eighth Grade
Ms. Cindy Mallet is the 8th grade teacher. Her family has a long tradition at St. Paul's. She attended St. Paul's as a student from K-8, following in her father's footsteps. She came back to St. Paul's as the eighth-grade teacher in 1991 after teaching for three years at St. Michael's School. She also teaches seventh grade Pre-Algebra as well as eighth grade Algebra, United States History, Religion, Literature and Art.
Ms. Mallet attended Cathedral High School in San Francisco and graduated from Holy Names University in Oakland with a bachelor’s degree in human services (psychology and sociology.) She continued at HNU to earn her teaching credential. Prior to working in education, Ms. Mallet worked for a clinical laboratory and as a human resources manager for a biotech firm.
Ms. Mallet's hope for her students is that they come to love learning for its own sake and she wants them to recognize that one can work hard and have fun at the same time. Above all else, Ms. Mallet wants her students to realize a person's character is so much more important than any grade on a report card.
