Miss Hartman enthusiastically enters her fourth year of teaching at St. Paul’s as the second grade teacher. She feels it is truly a blessing to be a part of such a wonderful community. She enters her ninth year of teaching. Prior to coming to St. Paul’s, Miss Hartman taught both kindergarten and second grade at a Catholic school in Berkeley. She attended UCLA for her undergraduate degree in History and earned her teaching credential at Sonoma State. Miss Hartman is currently enrolled in mindfulness courses and looks forward to implementing this practice in her classroom this year with her students.
Miss Hartman has a love of children and teaching that emanates in her classroom and contributes to the growth and development of each child. She creates a classroom environment that is engaging for students and fosters creativity and critical thinking.
Miss Hartman is passionate about EdTech and uses technology regularly to enhance her teaching and student learning. Her classroom extends to a global community with experiences like digital hangouts to talk to specialists in the field or collaborating on math and geography activities in real time with classes in other parts of the country.
When not at school, Miss Hartman enjoys walks with her dogs, Joey and Kai, spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling, paddle boarding and scuba diving.
