Jacqueline Curran • First Grade
Miss Curran feels blessed to be the first grade teacher at her alma mater, St. Paul's. In 2005, she actually took over the class from her own first grade teacher! After graduating from St. Paul’s, she continued her Catholic education at Immaculate Conception Academy in San Francisco and graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis. Miss Curran went on to earn a California state teaching credential from San Francisco State University and a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Gifted and Talented Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University.
Miss Curran is passionate about education and hopes to model how to be a life-long learner by sharing her favorite books, theater trips, and museum exhibits with her students. She plans to bring the strategies and research learned during her Master's program to challenge gifted students in her classroom and the greater St. Paul's student population.
St. Paul's Community has always been important for Miss Curran's family - her parents and a grandparent are also graduates of the school, as are her sisters and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins. She looks forward to embracing that spirit with the families of the students in her classroom.
