Student Council

Participating in Student Council provides students with the opportunity to build leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Student Council acts as the voice of the student body, sponsors student activities, and organizes fundraising events.

Student Council is a commitment and Officers are expected to attend meetings twice monthly (with additional meetings scheduled, as needed).

Elections usually occur in late May for the following school year.  Interested students must attend an informational meeting with the Faculty Moderator and fill out candidate paperwork.  

To be eligible to run for office, you must:
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Maintain a conduct mark of 1 or 2
  • Obtain approval from parents and homeroom teacher
  • President and Vice-President, open to 8th graders only
  • Commissioner of Publicity, open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders
  • All other positions open to 7th and 8th graders
